For the first time, these THOR controllers are equipped with a brake, so that a vehicle does not roll downhill uncontrollably on slopes.
A further special feature is the high clocking with 18KHz.
This results in a more sensitive control and the whistling in the engine is no longer audible.

A self-learning LiPo undervoltage detection reduces the motor speed at 9 volts and 6 volts, respectively

The receiver and a small servo can be supplied with the integrated BEC supply.

This BEC voltage is short-circuit-proof and temperature-protected.
But beware:
This means that when the temperature is too high, this voltage switches off and the receiver would be switched off for a short time!
Thus, perform extensive tests or use an external BEC, e.g. An X-BEC.

Undervoltage detection and deceleration.

When switched on, the THOR15HF recognizes whether a 2 cell or 3 cell LiPo battery is connected. Accordingly, the settling limit is set to either 6 volts or 9 volts.
If the battery voltage falls below this limit, only 1/4 of the setpoint speed is passed on to the motor.
So a clear cancellation of the journey everyone will notice and with this reduced ride "home" can drive.

Of course, the regulator can also be operated with NiMh or lead batteries.

control range
The zero point is fixed to 1.5ms pulse width and therefore corresponds exactly to todays usual RC systems. Before and afterwards, ie, stick forward / backward, the motor rotates steplessly forward / backwards, in each case up to the maximum speed.

Danger
Before the first ride, the range of the RC system should be checked. In the event of a defect in the controller, the motor may also start when the receiver is switched off!

The manufacturer can not test modules with a cut-off servo cable or silicone cable shorter than 6 cm in his test device. Therefore, he rejects such repairs because of inefficiency.
