Historical steam tug in scale 1:20

The Istanbul Port Company commissioned the Dutch company Kreber to build the tug Liman 2 in 1935. The tug was used continuously as a harbour tug until 1988, helping larger ships to enter and leave the port of Istanbul. The ship was bought by a museum in 1991 and restored. The 19-metre-long, 50-tonne tug was powered by a 170-horsepower steam engine. Currently, excursions with the steam tug are still occasionally offered.

The kit is made of plywood with keel and frames and abachi planking strips. The superstructure is made with complete interior fittings from laser-cut wooden parts and details in resin 3D printing. With the lighting kit included in the kit, the model can be lit with LEDs both internally and externally. The kit is basically designed as a floor model, but is quite suitable for use on the water with propulsion and remote control. A list of the accessories required for conversion to a floatable RC model can be found below. The rich hardware set is made of very detailed 3D impression parts.
